SMITHFIELD—Cindy Marie Johnson Dalton died Aug. 10, 2007, in Riverside Regional Medical Center as a result of a motor vehicle accident.
Mrs. Dalton was born in Newport News, April 11, 1972. She graduated from Mary Washington University and completed the medical technology program at Old Dominion University.
She was preceded in death by her father, Edgar “Junior” Johnson.
Survivors include her husband, Robert; son, Graylin; mother, Deloris Johnson; and her brother, Carl Johnson. She is also survived by her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Bob and Nancy Dalton; three brothers-in-law, Michael (Candace) Richter, Shawn (Stephanie) Dalton and Jason (Jennifer) Dalton; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
She was employed at Bon Secours Maryview Medical Center in Portsmouth. Cindy was also employed at the Virginia Living Museum in a variety of roles until 2005.
She was a member of Southside Baptist Church in Suffolk and served in their Children’s Church.
Services were held Monday in Peninsula Funeral Home with burial following in Peninsula Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a college and/or trust fund for her son, Graylin Dalton.
