SUFFOLK—James Morgan Johnson, 87, of Naples, Fla., died Aug. 9, 2007.

He was the son of the late Frank and Otelia Johnson of Zuni.

Mr. Johnson graduated from Virginia Tech in 1942, was commissioned into the Army and served in both the Atlantic and Pacific theaters, retiring as a colonel in 1967.

Survivors include his loving wife of 63 years, Norma Johnson; three children, Carol Williams and husband Floyd of Northern Virginia, Nancy Lee and husband Pat and James M. Johnson Jr. and wife Kathy of Florida; four sisters, Emma Daman of Virginia Beach, Laura Myrtle May of Durham, Margaret Johnson of Zuni and Jo Ann Seay of Richmond.
