VIRGINIA BEACH—Herbert Lee Williams, 79, died Oct. 12, 2007 in Wilmington, N.C.

Mr. Williams was a former resident of Virginia Beach and was the widower of Joyce Barrington Williams of Franklin.

Survivors include a sister, Mary Catherine Williams Ackiss of Wilmington, N.C., and a brother, Sgt. Major Frank Williams, US Army retired, of Oklahoma City.

A graveside service was held Saturday at Southampton Memorial Park, Franklin.
