Lena S. Roberts
FRANKLIN—Lena Story Roberts, 62, loving wife, mother and grandmother, passed away July 30, 2009, at Sentara Williamsburg Medical Center.
She was born in Franklin, a daughter of the late Henry and Ruby Story. Mrs. Roberts was predeceased by two sisters, Carolyn Story and her twin, Lona Mae Worley.
Survivors include her husband, Robert L. “Smiley” Roberts; two daughters, Amy S. Aston of Williamsburg and Kimberly W. Deem and husband, Seymore, of Williamstown, WV, two sons, Irvin L. Stephens, Jr. and wife, Robin, of Sedley and Jean Woodward and wife, Tracie, of Williamsburg; a sister, Mary Seal and husband, Frank, of Franklin; 12 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and her dog, Rocky.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at Wright Funeral Home, Franklin, with Pastor Frank Seal officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Horeb Cemetery.
The family will receive friends today from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
