Junius and Freda Bradshaw of Franklin celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary on Sunday, Aug. 16.
Highlights of the day included a breakfast given in their honor by their family at Tucker Swamp Baptist Church.
The Nuthin’ Butt Fun Caterers provided the Breakfast Buffet for nearly 150 guests. Pam Ivey Sadler provided the anniversary cake.
Later in the day a floating reception was held at their home.
The anniversary cake was provided by Judy’s Cakes and Catering.
The Bradshaws were married on Aug. 16, 1944, in Franklin, where they first resided.
They also lived in the Colosse area of Isle of Wight County for a period before settling at their current residence on Walters Highway some 45 years ago.
They have two sons, Gerald and wife Teresa of Gloucester and Steve and wife Jan of Appomattox. They also have five grandchildren, Darnelle Carr (Ricky) of Carrsville, Russ Bradshaw (Stacey) of Virginia Beach, Josh Bradshaw of Myrtle Beach, S.C. Bryce Bradshaw and Hannah Bradshaw of Appomattox.
They are the great-grandparents of Lexie and Colt Bradshaw of Virginia Beach.
