On Monday, many of us will be enjoying the third day of a three-day weekend — Labor Day.

It is the day our country recognizes the centuries of hard work, one generation after the other, which transformed our bountiful land to the great nation that it is today.

We wish all of our readers, their friends and families and workers everywhere a very happy and prosperous Labor Day holiday.

And we remember the words of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., who once said “all labor that uplifts humanity has dignity and importance and should be undertaken with painstaking excellence.”
