To the Editor:

My name is Daphine L. Worrell. I am writing this letter on behalf of my brother Stanley Worrell and family. On Thursday, Sept. 17, their home was totally destroyed by a fire. They lost everything they had. Thank God no one was injured, because no one was at home. I love my brother dearly, and I want to do everything I can to help them. They have no idea I’m writing this letter.

There are a lot of decent people out there who are willing to reach out and become a blessing. There are others who do not know their situation and may want to help. They are from a small area called Burdette, outside of Franklin. The neighbors have been really wonderful.

My brother works at Cost Plus and his wife, Daphne Worrell, works at Southampton Memorial Hospital, East Pavilion. They have two wonderful children, Travis and Stan Daron Worrell. Travis attends Southampton High School and enjoys sports and working on cars under the guidance of his father. Travis started from scratch working on a Jeep until it became operable to drive back and forth to school. The Jeep was also destroyed in the fire. Daron works at Farm Fresh in Franklin. He plays music and is gifted in playing several instruments. His keyboard and other equipment were destroyed in the fire.

They attend East End Church faithfully. My brother recently preached his initial sermon. To God be the glory for the things He has done and is about to do in my brother’s family. If you would like to become a blessing to the Worrell family, you may reach them at this number: 653-0449. Or leave a message at any of these numbers, 653-0016, 569-7687, 569-0629 or 569-8218.

Thank you all for your contributions and to all of the organizations that have reached out to my brother and his family thus far.

Contributions may be sent to the Stanley Worrell and Family Fire Relief fund,

c/o Daphine Worrell, at Suntrust Bank.
