Lady Indians raise their records

Southampton High School volleyball upped its record to 15-2 on the season and 11-2 in the Southside District with a 25-20, 25-6, 25-20 victory over Greensville County Thursday night.
For the Lady Indians, Megan Revelle had 11 kills, Kendra Edwards had 29 assists, and Regina Artis had nine kills and two solo blocks.
The Lady Indians will travel to Prince Edward Monday night for the final regular season match before hosting Bluestone November 4th for the first round of the district playoffs.
On Tuesday, the Lady Indians defeated Nottoway 25-7, 25-13, 25-15. Revelle had three aces and 10 kills; Edwards had 26 assists; and Artis had 14 kills and two solo blocks.
The Southampton JV team raised its record to 16-1 with victories over Greensville and Nottoway.
