Quinton H. Whitaker
COFIELD, N.C.—Quinton Hugh Whitaker, 69, died Nov. 7, 2009, at his residence.
Survivors include his wife, Julia Melton Whitaker of Cofield; a son, Varney Q. Whitaker of Durham, N.C.; a brother, Lyman Whitaker of Newport News; four sisters, Ruth Hopson of Hampton, Theresa Picot and Reba Whitaker, both of Maryland, and Jennifer Simmons of Murfreesboro, N.C.; and nine grandchildren
A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Phillipi Baptist Church, Cofield, with the Rev. William Lassiter officiating.
Burial will take place in the church cemetery.
A viewing will be held from 2 to 7 p.m. today at Reynolds Funeral Home Chapel.
