McDonnell to visit IP today

FRANKLIN—Gov. Bob McDonnell is planning to meet and greet workers at International Paper Co.’s Franklin mill today and to hold a roundtable discussion with community leaders later in the afternoon.
According to a statement from the governor’s office, McDonnell will arrive at the mill at 2 p.m. and will attend a presentation on services being offered to dislocated employees. He is then scheduled to meet and greet mill workers at around 2:45 p.m.
It will be McDonnell’s first visit to Franklin since his inauguration as governor on Jan. 16.
