To the Editor:

On Tuesday, Aug. 3, my husband and I were hiking on the Appalachian Trail in Grayson Highlands when we met two ladies from Franklin.

After a short conversation, we arranged to shuttle one of the ladies back to their car in Damascus. This morning my husband discovered a trekking pole left in the back of our truck.

We didn’t exchange names or any contact information, so I am taking this action in hopes of letting them know we have the pole and would like to arrange for its return to them. Any assistance you could offer would be greatly appreciated.
