FRANKLIN—A 19-year-old Franklin man is accused of stabbing another man during a fight Tuesday night.

Police say Johnnie Evans Jr. stabbed Devon Fulgham of Franklin in the chest during a fight in the area of Bolling and Pretlow streets just after 11. A large crowd was assembled in the area, said Lt. Tim Whitt, a spokesman for Franklin Police Department.

Fulgham was treated and released at the hospital for his injuries. An investigation of the event led police to Evans, Whitt said.

Evans was charged with malicious wounding and is being held in the Western Tidewater Regional Jail in Suffolk with no bond.
