Moore’s foul shots lead to Tidewater win over IWA

WAKEFIELD—Lamont Moore’s two foul shots in the closing seconds helped Tidewater Academy defeat Isle of Wight Academy 55-52 at Kaplan Arena on Saturday.
It was Isle of Wight’s first loss of the year. The Chargers are 5-1, while Tidewater improved to 5-3.
Charger Kendall Boyd missed a three-pointer with 1.7 seconds left that would have put the Isle of Wight ahead. Teammate Brandon Privette capitalized on late chances at the foul line, hitting 2-for-3 with 15.5 seconds left to cut the Tidewater lead to a point, 53-52.
Mike Greene scored 20 for the Warriors and Ferley Yerby added 14.
Privette led the Chargers in scoring with 16 including three, 3-pointers. Boyd Kendall added 13 points.
