Windsor’s Searcy scores 8 in loss to IWA

WINDSOR— Windsor senior Whitney Searcy led with 8 points and 5 steals during the Lady Dukes’ Wednesday night 57-30 loss to Isle of Wight Academy.
“It was a very physical game,” said Windsor Coach Holly Androski. “I was happy with the girls’ intensity and effort through out all four quarters.”
Junior Maurica Bynum led with 10 rebounds for the Lady Dukes and freshman teammate Tommie Curtis led with 6 steals.
Isle of Wight led 12-8 after the first quarter and 25-14 at the half. The Lady Chargers extended their lead to 41-22 in the third quarter.
In Tuesday night action, Searcy scored a team-high 8 points during a 58-28 loss to Charles City.
Windsor freshman Macayla Servais led with 9 rebounds and Bynum added 8. Curtis made 6 steals.
The Lady Dukes fell behind 7-4 in the first quarter and were down 31-9 at the half. Windsor trailed 47-15 at the end of the third quarter.
The Lady Dukes travel to Sussex for a 5:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 7, game.
