ISLE OF WIGHT—Isle of Wight Academy’s Nathan Sivertson and Brandon Privette each had 25 points as the Charges dispatched Summit Christian 73-61 Friday night.
The teams were tied after the first quarter, but a 23-11 edge in the second period held up and turned out to be the winning margin.
Privette had 9 of his points during that frame.
Sivertson had 10 of his points in the third quarter to lead the Chargers. The sophomore center continued his solid free-throw shooting, hitting 5-of-7 from the line. In Thursday’s win over Denbigh Baptist, Sivertson had a career-high 28 points and was 14-of-16 from the stripe.
Summit Christian of Newport News was led by Jordan Pope and John David Sanderson, both of whom had 15 points.
The 15-2 Chargers completed their tune-up for a meeting Tuesday, Jan. 25, at Williams Christian. The teams are tied atop the Metro Conference with undefeated records.
