Connie and Dennis Beale and Larry and Betty Hatfield have announced the engagement of their daughter, Lauren Rose Hatfield, to Hubert T. Byrum III.

He is the son of Hubert “Buck” and Patricia Byrum of Zuni.
The bride-to-be is a 2005 graduate of Southampton High School and a 2007 graduate of Paul D. Camp Community College’s registered nursing program. She is employed at Sentara Obici Hospital in Suffolk.
Her fiancé is a 2001 graduate of Windsor High School and a graduate of Newport News Apprentice School. He works for the Newport News shipyard.
A May 28, 2011, wedding is planned.
