COURTLAND—Pitcher Alex Jones picked up his first win of the season when Southampton High School’s junior varsity baseball team defeated Windsor 14-9 on Friday.

The Indians’ bats came alive in the third inning when they scored seven runs to take over the lead. The Indians continued to score runs following a two-run home run by Dillon Hasty in the top of the sixth. The Indians at 5 p.m. Thursday, April 14, will host Greensville for a Southside District game.

The Indians are 3-3.
