Thurman E. ‘Blue’ Holloman

IVOR—Thurman E. “Blue” Holloman died Wednesday, June 1, 2011, at his Ivor home.

A funeral service was held Tuesday at Gilfield Baptist Church in Ivor followed by burial in the church cemetery.

Mr. Holloman retired after 36 years at Gwaltney of Smithfield.

Survivors include his wife, Eva F. Holloman; daughters Yvonne Uzzle of Ivor and Thelma Brown of Portsmouth; a sister, Geraldine Newby of Smithfield; and a brother, Earl Holloman of Smithfield.

Crocker Funeral Home of Suffolk handled charge of arrangements.
