Schools should stick to Christmas in holiday programs

To the Editor:

The Holiday Program at Southwestern Elementary School in Suffolk started out good with the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag. Then it went downhill from there.

This school had our children talking and singing about Kwanzaa and Cinco de Mayo and then, to blow everyone away, they crossed the line about Ramadan.

What does any of that have to do with the birth of Christ and Christmas? Those responsible should be fired. The music teacher knew it was going to be controversial, but it’s her job and she did good with the kids. But the principal would not comment on who was responsible for brainwashing our children to pave the way to one world religion and government.

All parents, if you don’t see the problem with this, you need to get informed and stop the liberal, socialist, Marxist agenda now in our local communities. Speak up and teach your children what is right. Christmas is about Jesus, nothing else.
