MURFREESBORO, N.C.—The Town Council has extended the contract of Town Administrator Brandon Holland for three more years.
“I think it’s great we’re keeping him in the county,” said Mayor John Hinton.
Holland began working on May 31 after serving as an assistant manager for the City of Randleman, N.C. His initial contract with Murfreesboro expires this month.
Holland said he is looking forward to continuing his work in Murfreesboro.
“I’m actually humbled,” he said. “I’m 25 and I’m a town administrator. It’s such a huge blessing.”
Holland said he has learned that being a town administrator involves more than working 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. It involves becoming a part of the community, which his family enjoys.
“We’re very happy living here, we’re very happy with our neighbors, the school system, our church,” he said. “I’m happy we’re living in a nice place.”
