COURTLAND—Southampton Academy defeated conference opponent Blessed Sacrament Huguenot 61-48 Monday.

Matt Nixon scored 23 points in the victory and Tonee Hill added 21. Carson Camp contributed 10 points.

The Raiders move to 6-6 overall and 4-5 in the Virginia Commonwealth Conference with the win.

The Raiders travel to Amelia Academy at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 27.

In action Friday, the Raiders beat Steward School 54-50 in Courtland. Hill led the team with 17 points while Nixon scored 14 and Camp 13.
