Bobby Boone

FRANKLIN—Mr. Bobby Boone of Harrison Street, Franklin, Va., departed this life to claim his eternal reward on January 25, 2012.
On February 16, 1960, he was born to the late Georgia Boone and Claude Murphy in Franklin, Va.
Bobby was employed with the Department of Corrections for 25 years. He achieved the rank of Lieutenant while working at Sussex II State Prison.
He was a member of Full Gospel Kingdom Church, where he served as the Leader of the Men’s Ministry Department.
Bobby graduated from Franklin High School in 1980. He was able to showcase his athletic abilities by attending Virginia State University on a full athletic scholarship.
He is survived by three daughters, Kelly Perkinson of Portsmouth, Va., and Sharell Boone and Natasha Boone, both of Franklin, Va.; two sons, Bobby Boone Jr. and Jeremy Boone, both of Franklin,Va.; five sisters, Felicia, Vickie, Constance, Yolanda and Felicia; three brothers, Joe, Joseph and Claude; seven grandchildren; and many other relatives.
On Sunday evening at 7:00, the family will receive friends at Full Gospel Kingdom Church, 1538 Carrsville Hwy., Franklin, Va. A homegoing service will be held on Monday, January 30, 2012, at 11 a.m. at Apostolic Faith Church of God, 680 Oak Street, Franklin, with Pastor Terrence Johnson delivering the message; Elder Ronnie Warren is pastor.
The interment is in Southview Cemetery.
A traditional service with dignity will be conducted by Wm. M. Johnson & Sons Funeral Home, Inc., 224 S. Main St., Franklin, Va.
