CHESAPEAKE—Isle of Wight Academy boys could not hold onto a late third-quarter lead against Atlantic Shores, losing 42-34 on Tuesday.
The Chargers were up 22-20 at halftime after taking their first lead with 50 seconds left in the second quarter for the Metro Conference game. The Chargers with 1:46 remaining in the third quarter led 28-26.
The Seahawks rattled off 10 straight points to take a 36-28 lead, which they never relinquished.

The loss moves IWA to 14-5 overall and 9-3 in the Virginia Commonwealth Conference.
