Surry player scores 1,000th point against Windsor

SURRY—Surry’s Reginald Diggs, a University of Richmond football recruit, on Wednesday scored his 1,000 point during the Cougars’ 76-43 win over Tri-Rivers District opponent Windsor.
Diggs scored 23 points to help Surry remain undefeated in the district and secure a top playoff spot. The Cougars are 11-0 in the district and 15-5 overall.
For Windsor, Justice Chapman scored 16 points and teammate RJ Edwards added 13.
On the season, Duke Cole Daniel scored 6.3 points per game, 2.8 rebounds and had a team-high three blocks per game. Teammate Nick Powell, who was injured and played in 11 games, averaged six points per game and 5.6 rebounds.
