CARRSVILLE—Nearly 200 Community Electric customers were left without power at 11:15 a.m. Monday after a logger dropped a log on a three-phase corner pole.
“Not only did he crash the pole, he broke the cross arms on two adjoining poles at the river crossing of the Blackwater River southwest of Burdette,” said Jean Thrasher, vice president of operations and engineering for the Windsor utility.
Most of the customers affected are along Route 258 from Lawrence Drive south, Thrasher said.
He hopes to have power restored by 4 or 5 p.m.
