Carrsville man killed in crash

WINDSOR—A Carrsville man was killed in a head-on collision at 7:50 p.m. Friday on Route 258 near Windsor, Virginia State Police reported.
John David Rensch, 47, of the 1100 block of Old Oak Lane died at the scene, police said. The other driver, Richard Clinton Parker Jr., 22, of the 32000 block of Oberry Church Road, Franklin, was flown to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. The hospital had no record of seeing Parker.
Parker lost control of his pickup north of Little Norfolk Road and drove into the path of Rensch’s compact car, police said.
Weather played a factor in the accident, police said.
It is unknown if alcohol was a factor, and no charges have been filed.
