BOYKINS—Earl Washington Fuller Sr., 97, passed away July 9, 2012, at Southampton Memorial Hospital.

He was a devoted member of Boykins Baptist Church for 90 years, where he was a lifetime deacon and trustee and was presented a commemorative key to the church in recognition for his 35-year record of opening the church every Sunday morning.

Mr. Fuller was a retired farmer and a former member of Newsoms Masonic Lodge.

He was predeceased by his wife of 75 years, Ednola Britton Fuller; a brother, Henry Fuller; and four sisters, Violet Bryant, Daisy Edwards, Virginia Futrell and Annie Ruth Fuller.

Left to cherish his memory are his son, Dr. Earl “Tim” Fuller Jr. and wife, Dean; grandchildren, Eric and Travis Fuller; great-grandchildren, Amelia and Jacob Fuller; and a host of nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 21, 2012, at Boykins Baptist Church with Rev. Tom Caulkins officiating. The family will receive friends from 1 to 1:45 prior to the service in the church fellowship hall and suggests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to Boykins Baptist Church.
