It is a great thing that people are actively searching for jobs, but in this economy it is not easy.

With so many people out of work right now, it is of the utmost importance to start creating more jobs rather than continuing to create new legislation that is killing jobs and economic growth.

Local Congressman Randy Forbes is doing just that — he is working on repealing job-killing regulations on small businesses and trying to force an analysis of how each potential new regulation would impact small businesses.

Also, Forbes is supporting a potential of 1,900 new jobs in offshore drilling. He supports opening new offshore areas for American energy exploration that could bring a potential of 1,900 jobs to Virginia and would drive down gas prices for small businesses.

On top of trying to create an environment friendly to job creation, Congressman Forbes is hosting the Fourth Congressional District Job Fair in Chesapeake and Chesterfield.

He is a great leader that never forgets where he comes from and who he represents.
