DREWRYVILLE—Florence Nightingail Bynum, 84, of Drewryville died Aug. 23, 2012, at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.

A service was held Monday at Oak Grove Baptist Church in Franklin, where she was a member.

She is survived by her children, Florence Yates and Ruth Walton, both of Emporia; Pamela Doles, Mary Taylor, Earley Simmons, Abbington Bynum and Falconette Garris, all of Courtland; Frances Vann of Drewryville; Shirley Murphy and Hilda Bynum, both of Washington D.C.; and Larry Bynum of Havre de Grace, Md.
