SURRY—Dorothy Reese Parker, 87, of Surry died Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2012.

Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 18, at R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home, 11414 General Mahone Highway in Wakefield.

A funeral will be held 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 19, at the funeral home. Burial will be private.

A Sebrell native who grew up in Dendron and Jarratt, Miss Parker owned Surry Tastee Treet for many years.

Locally, she is survived by a brother, Oscar Parker Jr. of Wakefield.
