Davis-Phelps

Candice Marie Davis, daughter of Frank and Nina Davis of Girard, Ohio, married Benjamin Allen Phelps, son of Rod and Tricia Phelps of Franklin, on July 5, 2012, at the Youngstown Club in Ohio.
The wedding reception and dinner with dancing to music by The Ben Phelps Project also were held at the Youngstown Club.
The bride is the paternal granddaughter of Miland and Laura Davis of Kinsman, Ohio, and the late Katherine Davis, and the maternal granddaughter of Dolly and Eddie Meckes of Girard.
The groom is the paternal grandson of Ruth Phelps of Franklin and the late C.J. Phelps and the maternal grandson of Alice Allen of Carrsville and the late Albert and Myrtle Allen.
The bride was given in marriage by her parents.
Christina Piccoli and Mandy Seldomridge, sisters of the bride, were attendants.
The groom’s father was the best man and Ethan Phelps was his dad’s “best boy.”
All attendants wore yellow roses in memory of Amy Phelps, the groom’s sister.
The new Mrs. Davis graduated from Ohio State University, and is a counselor at Smithfield High School.
Her husband graduated from Virginia Tech, and teaches at Windsor Middle School.
Following a honeymoon to Belize, the couple lives in Smithfield.
