COURTLAND—Helen Brooks Nixon, 95, died at her home on December 3, 2012.

A memorial service will be held noon Wednesday, Dec. 5, at Courtland Baptist Church. A reception will follow.

Wright Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

A lifelong resident of Southampton County, Mrs. Brooks was a retired secretary for Nick’s TV.

She is survived by a son, Wayne Brooks Nixon.
