ISLE OF WIGHT—Isle of Wight Academy sophomore Gabriella Hooper scored 17 points in the Lady Chargers’ 45-22 win over Denbigh Baptist Christian in Metro Athletic Conference play on Tuesday.

The Lady Chargers improved to 3-1 overall and 2-1 in the MAC.

“The girls played very well,” said IWA Coach Chris Hooper. “Our spacing on the floor was very good. The girls played well even considering how tired they were after playing back-to-back games.”

Sophomore Carson Saunders added 8 points and 4 assists. Junior Dianne Davis added 6 points.

In action from Monday, IWA defeated StoneBridge 34-18 in MAC play.

Hooper led the Lady Chargers with 11 points and sophomore Brooke Olsavicky added 8.

IWA at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 7, will host Norfolk Academy for a non-conference match-up.
