Sivertson nets 16 points in win

ISLE OF WIGHT—Isle of Wight Academy senior Nathan Sivertson scored 16 points in the Chargers’68-48 win over non-conference foe Nansemond Suffolk Academy Tuesday.
It was the first time in five years that the teams faced off. The teams will play on Wednesday, Dec. 26, in the Peninsula Catholic Holiday Classic in Newport News.
The Chargers took a 19-12 first-quarter lead, but NSA stormed back to tie the game at 27 at halftime.
The Chargers reclaimed the lead for good with 5:45 left in the third quarter as senior Hunter Tripplett hit a three-pointer making the score 33-31.
Tripplett scored 14 points. Sivertson led in rebounds with 17; sophomore Casey Williams had 11.
The Chargers improved to 8-2 overall.
