FRANKLIN—Firefighters at 7:30 a.m. Monday were called to International Paper for a small smoldering fire at the head-end of a bark transfer conveyor, said company spokeswoman Jenny Dixon Hutto.

As protocol, firefighters are called anytime there is evidence of a fire, Hutton said.

There were no injuries and the issue has been resolved.
