IVOR—The Southampton County Sheriff’s Office has completed its investigation into a Tuesday fire that destroyed an Ivor home.
Drewery ruled the cause of the fire at 33423 Seacock Chapel Road as undetermined, and could not indicate whether or it appeared accidental or suspicious due to the extensive damage.
“The homeowner’s insurance company will more than likely send an investigator,” Major Gene Drewery said Wednesday. “They are required to contact us if there is anything suspicious they find.”
Howard Jenkins owns the home.
No one was home when the fire broke out at 1:30 p.m. and no one was hurt.
There were two dogs in the yard that had minor burns.
Volunteer fire departments from Windsor, Wakefield, Sedley, Hunterdale and Courtland assisted.
