WINDSOR—A Windsor man’s cause of death as of Friday remained undetermined, but it does not appear he was murdered, said Police Chief Vic Reynolds.
Barry Vincent Gray, 53, at 4:18 p.m. Wednesday was found dead at his home at 106 Marlette St.
Reynolds did not want to give away too much information for fear of jeopardizing the investigation.
“Because of the things observed by the responding officer, the officer cleared the home to insure no persons were inside and to make sure the scene was safe,” he said. “When the officer entered the home, the condition of the home caused us to become suspicious as to what happened.”
The victim also had apparent injuries. Reynolds did not want to comment further.
The Medical Examiner’s Office was asked to conduct an autopsy. Police are waiting for the results of a toxicology test, which could take up to two months.
“Because of the length of time that the toxicology results could take to come back, we are going to continue to investigate this case as a suspicious death to make sure that no time elapses in the pursuit of obtaining any and all facts that we can,” Reynolds said.
