FRANKLIN—The Franklin Golden Skillet is currently for sale, said Nate Stroud, an employee for David Shields.

The restaurant, located at 1130 Armory Drive, has been for sale, for $250,000, since the business closed in January.

“Along with the building, the buyer will also get all of the kitchen equipment that is in the building,” Stroud said.

Stroud did not know specifically what type of equipment is located inside.

Shields is selling the building himself. Any parties interested in purchasing it and the equipment included, are asked to call 252-332-8484.

“He has had tons of interest already, just no one has closed on the building yet,” Stroud said.

Shields owned the Franklin restaurant since Feb. 26, 2010. Prior to Shields’ ownership, the restaurant was owned by H&S of Virginia, Inc.
