Angela Nicole Parker and Courtney David-Giovanni Nunnally were united in marriage on July 20, 2013, at St. Augustine’s Episcopal Church, Newport News, at a noonday ceremony. The Rev. Terry Davis Edwards officiated. A wedding reception followed at the Hilton Garden Inn Suffolk Riverfront.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Littleton Parker III of Courtland. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Johnnie D. Bradley of Drewryville, and the late Percy C. Bradley.
The groom is the son of Ms. Wendy Flores of Chesapeake, and Mr. Ronald Nunnally Sr. of Glendale, Ariz. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. David Flores of Norfolk, and Mrs. Pearl Anderson of Paterson, N.J.
The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents.
Alysha Teachey and Ashley Bryant, both of Courtland, served as the bride’s maids of honor. Bridesmaids were: Kaplyn Person of Hampton; Janaf Wyche of Panama City, Fla.; Jessica Bethea and Courtney Smith, both of Chesapeake; and Nikita Beale of Virginia Beach. Makayla Moss of Chicago, Ill., served as junior bridesmaid, and Cheyenne Requizo of Suffolk served as flower girl.
Javon Parker and Sean Hickman, both of Chesapeake, served as best men. Groomsmen were: Mark Hornby of Arlington; Kyle Robinson of Clifton, N.J.; Shontre Outlaw of Hampton; Ronald Flores of Atlanta, Ga.; and Breon Mitchell of Upper Marlboro, Md. Elijah Moss of Chicago served as junior groomsman; and Nicos Requizo of Suffolk served as ring bearer.
The bride is a graduate of both Norfolk State University and Tuskegee University. She is employed as an engineer for NAVSEA at the Naval Surface Warfare Center in Dahlgren.
The groom is a graduate of Norfolk State University, and is employed as a fifth-grade teacher at Widewater Elementary School in Stafford.
Angela and Courtney honeymooned in the Dominican Republic, and will make their home in Fredericksburg with their dog Benny.
