On the road to Fuqua

The Chargers of Isle of Wight Academy will travel to Farmville to take on the Fuqua Falcons.

“We understand that we’re going to a hostile environment against a good school,” said Coach Chapman, talking about the Fuqua Falcons. “We’re really focused on execution and controlling the tempo.”

Practice has been well for the Chargers. The players know what’s at stake and are excited about the opportunity to move up in the rankings.

Southampton Academy to host Hobgood Academy

Today will be the day that the Southampton Raiders and the Hobgood Academy Raiders face off in a battle for the ultimate Raider. Both teams are undefeated at the moment and will play hard to keep it that way.

When asked about his opponents, Hobgood, Coach Dale Marks said, “They’re explosive offensively and have a couple of kids that can break it on any  play.” Practice has been smooth for Southampton with the exception of Paul Parker, who’s dealing with a knee injury. Triston Holland is expected to return to the field for this game.

Windsor to take on Brunswick Bulldogs

The Dukes have invited the Bulldogs into their backyard for a match. They both share the same record of 1-2. The difference in this game will be the momentum of the Dukes coming into the game after a big win last weekend.

At the time of this release, no comment was received from the coaches. The game will start promptly at 7 p.m.

Franklin takes to the road against Park View

The Broncos will head to South Hill for their match up against the Dragons. Franklin knows they can’t be slacking with this team, because they will be looking to put a stop to the perfect record the Broncos are sporting thus far.

At the time of this release, no comment was received from the coaches. The game will be played in South Hill, at approximately 7 p.m.

Southampton Indians will be in Sussex tonight
