Tyler named Western Tidewater’s Player of the Week

FRANKLIN—To celebrate the Franklin Mustang’s Youth Football League Championship, J.P. King Middle School student Markeen Tyler has been named the Player of the Week for week 11.

In the 38-0 win against the Boykins Bulldogs, Tyler rushed for 79 yards on 10 carries. The youth league plays on an 80-yard field. He also caught two passes for 15 yards. He had 4 total touchdowns. He was also responsible for scoring on two extra point plays.
On defense, Tyler had three tackles.
