TA defeats Alliance Christian 64-34

WAKEFIELD—Four Warriors put up double digit points in a 30-point route of the Alliance Christian Falcons Thursday evening.

At the end of the first quarter, Tidewater Academy went up by a score of 18-7, and they extended the lead to 32-15 by the half.

Alliance Christian had its best quarter of the night in the third, putting up 14 points to TA’s matching 14, but the Warriors held the Falcons to only 5 points in the fourth, while putting up 18. The final score was 64-34 in favor of the Warriors.

Payton Holdsworth led the way with 17 total points, and right behind him was Daniel McKenney, with 16. Marty Cura and Elanté Drew each had 10 points. Gura, Holdsworth and McKenney each hit a 3-point basket.

The Warriors improved to 7-1 on the season, while Alliance Christian fell to 2-10.
