Tidewater Academy loses to Fuqua 56-29

FARMVILLE—Tidewater Academy ended a 3-game stretch on the road 0-3 with a loss to the Fuqua Falcons on Friday night.

Fuqua hit nine 3-point baskets during the match, including 6 from Al Baker, while Tidewater Academy struggled to score in the third and fourth quarters — only totally 5 points during that period.

Fuqua came out strong in the first quarter, scoring 23, while allowing 10 from the Warriors. In the second quarter, the Falcons scored 17, while the Warriors struggled to make a basket, putting up no points.

In the third quarter, the Falcons scored 7 and the Warriors scored 5.

Tidewater Academy scored 14 in the fourth quarter, while allowing 9, but the damage had been done, as the Falcons won 56-29.

Elanté Drew led the Warriors with 11 points.

Tidewater Academy is 12-4 on the season, and 4-2 in its region.
