DREWRYVILLE—Alice Reveal Pope Turner, 72, passed away on Feb. 9, 2014, surrounded by her family. She was a daughter of the late Vernon and Hattie Earl Reveal and was predeceased by her first husband, McCoy Pope.
Alice was a retired hairdresser, attended Hebron Baptist Church, and was a member of Beaver Dam Baptist Church. She was also a member of James L. Camp Jr. YMCA, Gideons Auxillary, Drewryville Ruritan Club, Drewryville Woman’s Club, Antique Car Club and the Franklin Garden Club.
Her survivors include her husband, David Edward Turner Jr.; daughter, Krystal Pope Romines, and husband, Dennis, of Capron; two sisters, Jerry R. Pernell, and husband, Melvin, of Roanoke Rapids, N.C., and Polly Reveal of New York; two brothers, Bill Reveal of Ivor and George Reveal of Roanoke Rapids; three grandchildren, Amber Carpenter, and husband, Jonas, and Trent Rainone and Madison, and Trevor Romines; four great-grandchildren, Darren Rainone, Desiree Rainone, Rylee Carpenter and Ashton Carpenter; nieces, nephews and special friends.
The graveside funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2014, at Beaver Dam Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Thomas J. Spizziri officiating.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 11, at Wright Funeral Home, and suggest memorials be made to the American Cancer Society, c/o Kathy Worrell, 717 Fairview Drive, Franklin, VA.
