PRINCE GEORGE—Kitty Gale Martin Grant, 71, of Prince George, formerly of Martinsville, departed this life on Feb. 15, 2014.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Annie Martin; sister, Beatrice Martin; and a brother, Darryl Martin.

Surviving are her husband, the Rev. Dr. Claudie Grant Jr.; two sons, Robert L. Grant Jr. and Michael C. Jolley; grandson, Ma’leak D. Sloan; three sisters, Ruby Butler (Clarence), Hildred Moorman and Jacqueline Myers; four brothers, Billy, Zan (Myrtle), Willie and Fredrick Martin; host of nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.

Her remains rest at Scott’s Funeral Home, 115 E. Brookland Park Blvd., Richmond. The family will receive friends on Thursday, Feb. 20 at Gillfield Baptist Church, 209 Perry St., Petersburg, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. and where the funeral will take place Friday, Feb. 21 at noon. Dr. George W.C. Lyons Jr., officiating.

Interment will be in South Lawn Memorial Gardens, Prince George.
