FRANKLIN—The Southampton County High School Indian boys tennis team smoked the Franklin High School Broncos 9-0 in their season opener on Wednesday at Southampton High School.

In No 1. singles, Sam McDonald (SHS) won 6 -1, 6-0 against Khiry Reese (FHS).

No. 2 Russell Ballance (SHS) won 6-0,6-0 against Aaron Griffith (FHS).

No. 3 Ellis Cofield (SHS) won 6-0,6-0 against Chance McCoy (FHS).

No. 4 Cedric Everett (SHS) won 6-1,6-1 against Timothy McCoy (FHS).

No. 5 Cameron McHenry (SHS) won 6-0,6-0 against Shamar Ballard (FHS).

No. 6 Donald Blythe won by default.

In doubles, McDonald and Ballance (SHS) won 8-0 against Reese and Griffith (FHS) at the No. 1 seed.

No. 2 Anthony Cofield and Blythe (SHS) won 8-0 against McCoy and Kreider (FHS).

The No. 3 Southampton team won by default.
