Porter and Umphlett win the 12th bass tourney of the TRBT season

WINTON, N.C.—The team of Marty Porter and Harvey Umphlett took first place Sunday with five bass weighing 13.72 pounds in the twelfth round of the Three Rivers Bass Tournament Series.
Porter also weighed the heaviest bass of the day at 4.73 pounds, as 13 teams competed on the Chowan River and surrounding waters.
Second place went to the team of Jonathan Whitley and Kevin Gunn with five bass weighing 9.98 pounds. The team of Keith Vick and K.J. Vick took third place with five bass weighing 9.19 pounds.
Coming in fourth place was the team of Scott Hewett and Erik Neave with five bass weighing 8.70 pounds then in fifth place was the team of Greg Harmon and Mark Wilkerson with four bass weighing 8.43 pounds.
The club members will compete again on Sept. 6 and launch from Hercules Landing on the Nottoway River.
