Isle of Wight Academy ended the regular season with three straight losses, the last one to VISAA Div. III school Hampton Roads Academy 34-18. With near 1000-yard rusher Alec Edwards, a junior, sidelined for a suspension, and Aaron Fronfelter, a receiver averaging 56 yards and a touchdown a game, sidelined with a concussion, and Josh Weihe out all season, the Chargers were out-gained 407 to 264 by the Navigators.

For the Chargers, senior Carson Robertson saw most of the touches, rushing it 23 times for 108 yards. He also had a touchdown from 1 yard out. Will Morningstar, serving as a change of pace back, got the ball 10 times and turned that into 58 yards on the ground. He also busted a 15-yard touchdown run in the first quarter. Morningstar also caught three passes for 19 yards.

Caleb Davis picked up the final touchdown of the evening for the Chargers, off of a 50-yard pass reception from quarterback Bryce Casey. Two kicks failed, and after the Davis touchdown, the two-point conversion failed.

Meanwhile, the Navigators had two 100-yard rushers in Devone Humphrey and Bryan Hart. Humphrey rushed it 20 times for 152 yards, and he had one touchdown and one two point conversion rush. Hart, the quarterback, rushed for three touchdowns and threw another one to Thomas Bagley.

With the loss, the Chargers fall to 4-5 and are depending on losses above them to potentially get them into the post season.
