Maudrey M. Futrell

FRANKLIN—Maudrey Jane Mann Futrell, 97, passed away on Dec. 28, 2014, at the East Pavilion. Mrs. Futrell was a native of Pendleton, North Carolina, and was a daughter of the late Arland and Velesta Mann, and was also preceded in death by her husband, Willie Saunders Futrell. She was also predeceased by two brothers and two sisters, Raymond and J.B. Mann and Margaret Futrell and Dorothy McCauley.

Mrs. Futrell was retired from St. Regis Paper Company after 39 years of service, and was a member of Severn Baptist Church.

Left to cherish her memory are one son, Michael “Mickey” Futrell and wife, Pat, of Franklin; one sister, Betty M. Wing (Warren) of Murrells Inlet, South Carolina; one brother, Randolph “Dick” Mann (Dot) of Kitty Hawk, North Carolina; five step-grandchildren, Jesse, Todd (Patricia), Jeff (Wendy), John (Trina), Summer (Russ); eight great-grandchildren, Ashleigh, Matthew, Lauren, Claudia, Jacob, Davis, Ethan and John.

The memorial service will be at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 31, in Severn Baptist Church, Severn, North Carolina, with the Rev. Mark Corbett officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church and suggests that memorial donations be made to Severn Baptist Church Memorial Fund, P.O. Box 502, 305 Main St., Severn, NC 27877-0502.

The family would like to thank Dr. Ponder and Judy, the SMH staff and caregivers of the East Pavilion for their very special care.
