Police arrested Yolanda Jordan, 46, and charged her with malicious wounding in connection to the stabbing.

Responding to a call about a stabbing at 1224 Mariner St., police found that 54-year-old Larry Porter had suffered a stab wound to his back. He was transported to Southampton Memorial Hospital for treatment at around 6 p.m. on May 8.

Porter is alleged to have struck Jordan in the face with an object, and in response, she reportedly stabbed him, said Whitt.

Jordan was taken into custody at the scene and has been transported to Western Tidewater Regional Jail with no bond.

The pair live together at the Mariner Street address.
